As we welcome a new year it has us all reflecting on the previous year. 2024 was a great year for new beauty launches and introduced me to some products I can’t imagine not using now! For the first blog post of 2025 I have picked a handful of my favourite/most reached for products from 2024 that I’ll absolutely be bringing with me into the year ahead.

I mean everything you see here I wholeheartedly recommend, but these are just a few products that really stood out to me when I think about repeated personal use. You will likely have seen me feature them across my socials already and whilst there are a lot of new launches in here, there are also a few long standing OG’s. You know what they say, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!

L’OREAL | Lumi Glotion

This could be one of my favourite launches by L’Oreal Paris. It’s a great affordable, glowy base product that can be worn alone, under complexion products or as a highlight on top of makeup. I like to use a shade slightly deeper than my skin tone to add a subtle bronze glow.

SHISEIDO | Revitalessence Skin Glow Foundation

This was by far my most used foundation of the year. A product I reach for when I want my skin to just look its best. The light-medium coverage evens out my skin tone without looking like I’m wearing anything. It leaves a dewy, hydrated, bouncy appearance with its almost stretch like consistency. If you have dry, mature skin or just like a dewy finish you will love this.

NARS | Radiant Creamy Concealer

It’s no surprise that the NARS radiant creamy concealer still ranks the highest in my collection. I had to include this as it is a product I genuinely wear almost every single day.

It is creamy and hydrating so it doesn’t cling to dry areas, a little goes a long way so I find it creases a lot less than others (I say that because all concealers will crease), nor does it separate throughout the day. I’ve been using it since a teen and is one of those products I just can’t let go of.

YSL | All Hours Bronzer

As a cream/liquid lover, its been a while since I found a powder bronzer that I truly loved. I often skip the bronzer step day to day as I like a blusher that kind of acts as both. Though when I am doing a full face this was the one I found myself reaching for most.

Yes the packaging is gorgeous and looks like a little clutch bag in itself but the formula is equally beautiful. It has a finely milled powder texture that builds effortlessly without going patchy or muddy. I love the lightest shade on my fair skin because it isn’t too warm that it pulls orange.

YSL | Lines Liberated Eye Liner

When it comes to eyeliner I have specific needs. It has to be highly pigmented in the first swipe and creamy (no tugging at your eyes), with great staying power that doesn’t separate or smudge with wear.

This ticks all the boxes for me and comes in a great shade range of neutrals and wearable, coloured metallics. I’ve been really enjoying swapping out my brown or black eyeliner for the bronze (number 3). It adds a subtle unexpected difference that catches the light beautifully and is slightly softer.

YSL | Loveshine Balm

Anything YSL Loveshine you can’t go wrong. I love all three formulas of the loveshine, candy glaze and the balms depending on what finish I’m looking for.

I’ve mentioned the others in previous blog posts but the balm for instance I’ve been wearing a lot every day as it delivers an easy flush of colour with the texture and comfort of a balm.

ARMANI | Eye Tint

If you’re a fan of a quick one and done eyeshadow like myself then you need the Armani Beauty Eye Tints in your life!

I reach for these most times I’m doing my makeup whether that’s to wear alone as a wash of colour (shade 22m is perfect for this if you are similar skin tone to me), use as a base or layer together. They have a gorgeous selection of shades from neutral mattes to jewel toned shimmers and are so easy to scribble on, blend and go!

ARMANI | Acqua Highlighter

As a dewy skin lover (usually achieved through skincare, foundation and liquid complexion products) I’ve found myself neglecting the highlighter section of my collection in recent years.

That was until I was introduced to the Armani Beauty Acqua Highlighter this year which reminded me of my love of highlight! It is a liquid (little goes a long way) highlight that delivers a radiant, pearlescent glow. It doesn’t lift makeup underneath even if applied from the applicator directly to the skin. I like to lightly tap into the high points of my face with my fingers.

LISA ELDRIDGE | Kitten Lash Mascara

Mascaras I find are so personal, everyone I speak to tends to have their preferences. Some like a large fluffy wand that delivers thickness and volume, others (like me) prefer a silicone wand that offers separation and definition.

When I find a mascara I love I tend to stick with it. I have a handful of mascaras I find myself going back to, the Lancome Lash Idole being one of them. So it’s no surprise with Lisa Eldridge being the global creative director of Lancôme make-up that I would also love her personal brands mascara too! Her Kitten Lash mascara allows you to achieve a super natural, defined lash or build for volume, length and separation. A bonus being it removes easily too!

LISA ELDRIDGE | Sculpt And Shade Lip Pencil (0N)

Another Lisa Eldridge product that lives in my makeup bag and that I carry everywhere with me is the Sculpt And Shade Lip Pencil in shade 0N. This is the lip liner I’ve always been hunting for and hadn’t yet found, until 2024!

It is the perfect neutral (not too cool, not too warm) tone that allows me to sculpt and add definition to my lips. It’s creamy and allows for play time without setting, yet lasts all day (with minimal touch ups) and goes with pretty much any lip product I own!

RHODE | Pocket Blush

Don’t be fooled by the size of these blushers, they might be tiny but they pack a punch! Though admittedly I’m a bit of a packaging snob and in this case don’t love it… I still reach for it most days.

In particular the shade ‘sleepy girl’ as it blurs the lines of a blusher and a bronzer for me which I love. It is pigmented so you really don’t need much, blends like butter and leaves a gorgeous dewy finish that actually has great staying power!

HOURGLASS | Airbrush Pressed Powder

It’s no secret how much I love my Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Powder and it takes a lot for a powder to win me over. This Hourglass one however became a firm favourite in 2024. It is blurring and smoothing without settling into fine lines and doesn’t go cakey when touching up.

VIEVE | Setting Spray

I’ve been enjoying setting my makeup in place with this Vieve Setting spray. It has the signature Vieve scent to it (something to note if you’e sensitive to fragrance) which I adore!

The applicator has just the right amount of power to it, neither spitting at you and causing patchiness or drenching your face. It leaves skin with a glow and helps the longevity of makeup.
