Can you believe it’s that time of month already? Where is this year going! September was a busy month… with lots of exciting launches (and making up for the lack of trying products in last months ‘best of’) I have plenty to report on! Some of which you may already have seen me feature over on Instagram or TikTok but here I can go into a little more detail!

CHARLOTTE TILBURY | Magic Water Cream

Like a drink of water for the skin! Achieve juicy plump skin in one step with Charlottes new gel-cream moisturiser that delivers a glass-like fresh glow.

If you find the original magic cream a little too rich but still want to achieve that dewy complexion that preps the skin for makeup application I think you will love this latest addition! It has quickly become a favourite of mine for pre makeup application and when my skin needs an extra boost of hydration.

L’OREAL | Matte Resistance Infallible Lipstick

L’Oreal’s latest makeup campaign revealed Ambassador Kendall Jenner sporting the new Infaillable Matte Resistance Liquid Lipstick in the shade ‘400 spill the tea’ applied by Makeup Artist Mary Phillips (who I was lucky enough to see work live in the flesh at a recent L’Oreal masterclass ahhh!)

Available in 17 shades that cater to all skin tones, the formula is smudge, transfer and bleed proof whilst feeling lightweight, hydrating and comfortable on the lips. Plus the applicator makes for the most precise application making a red lip a breeze!

CHANTECAILLE | Future Skin Foundation

I’ve been making a point to try out new foundations lately as I’m a creature of habit when it comes to my base products and it takes a lot to impress me.

A recent luxury foundation discovery of mine is the Chantecaille Future Skin Foundation, which is a water-based, oil free gel foundation. It has a lightweight refreshing gel texture that applies seamlessly allowing for a custom buildable finish. The only thing I’m disappointed in is the lack of shades which I hope they improve because the formula is seriously beautiful.

DIOR | Forever Liquid Laquer Lipstick

A glossy liquid lip that doesn’t transfer? I didn’t believe it either! A unique formula that requires shaking before application to mix the bi-phase formula and blend vinyl shine and vibrant colour on the lips.

Without compromising on comfort, it delivers a lacquered like shine that stays all day. I’d advice working in sections applying light layers and not pressing your lips together until completely dry so the product doesn’t lift. To remove I prefer to use an oil based makeup remover.

GHD | Rise Hot Brush

You may have noticed by now I’m a big GHD hot tool fan! The Rise Hot Brush has recently made its way into my collection for when I want to achieve a blowdry like loose wave with a sleek finish.

As a naturally curly girl sometimes my normal blowdry routine can still leave me with some frizz and certain climates requires me to use more tension or a hot tool for a sleeker finish. I love this for also quickly touching up my front pieces on day 2-3 hair as its easy to achieve a quick wave whilst taming the front baby hairs!

KJH | High Lite Kit

It feels like we’ve been waiting for a KJH launch for an eternity! Of course it was absolutely worth the wait. As a Makeup Artist, I am always intrigued when Makeup Artists launch their own products as they just know formulas.

I was lucky enough to be invited to a pre launch breakfast where we got a preview of The High Lite Kit and hear Katie talk about the brand. It contains the Hyper Shine Lite Pigment (available in 4 shades) to illuminate skin, Hyper Shine Serum to use alone of mix with pigment to create a custom dewy glow, as well as the number 1 brush.

I love Katies message behind the KJH brand, with a key focus on education and multipurpose, customizable products that work for the consumer. It feels like an extension of her socials that her audience can really be involved in. I’m excited to see what’s next!

NARS | Light Reflecting Eye Brightener

Nars have a new addition to their light reflecting range! Their new eye brightener is a makeup-skincare hybrid designed to brighten and smooth the under eyes. You already know the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer is my desert island product so naturally I was very excited to try this.

You can wear it alone for an instant natural looking brightening effect, layered under your concealer to correct dullness, or on top of your concealer/mid day touch up to further brighten under eyes. It has a silky texture that delivers sheer to buildable coverage.

Whilst on a press stay with Nars this month they also very kindly left some of their light reflecting skincare range in our hotel rooms for us to try. I was instantly impressed! Formulated with makeup wearers in mind, the range delivers a refreshing, hydrated base for makeup to be applied to.

YSL | Rouge Pur Couture Lipstick

YSL beauty has renovated its Rouge Pur Couture lipstick with a brand new formula, new packaging and newly curated shade range.

The new formula has a satin finish that feels seriously luxurious, contains 80% smoothing lip care, claims 16hr wear and is available in 40 high pigment shades. Key shades are also available to purchase as refillable.
