Let’s dive into what’s new in beauty and the winning products I’ve been trialling and testing out over the last couple of months shall we?

In all honestly, due to prolonged periods of chronic illness flare ups, I haven’t been feeling too inspired to try many new products. That, and nothing was jumping out to me as overly exciting – so instead of writing about products for the sake of it, I have combined the months of May and June together here. You know how it goes by now, I’m not going to waste your time with mediocre product mentions.

With that being said, I hope you can forgive the absence of last months Best In Beauty with some of the great finds mentioned in this months as we propel into the summer with glass skin, body and hair!

KERASTASE | Glaze Drops

It’s not news that I am a huge fan of Kerastase. I’ve been using and loving their products for years and have seen huge improvements in the way my hair both looks and feels.

Their latest addition to the Gloss Absolu range is their Glaze Drops, a rose, citrus scented lightweight hair oil for all hair types, including long hair prone to frizz (which mine most certainly is).

The dropper delivers the perfect amount of product to avoid the greasy touch, leaving my hair smooth and silky with a bouncy appearance.

PRADA BEAUTY | Light Glowing Highlighting Powder

I mentioned in a recent blog post that I had found myself skipping the highlight step in my makeup routine. Mainly due to achieving my desired glow from elsewhere, however a couple of noteworthy highlighters have wormed their way into my makeup bag again. Including this addition to the Prada Beauty line up.

This lightweight highlighter powder enriched with squalane delivers a blurring, softly-lit glow to the skin that also helps to soften and smooth with each wear.

A little reminiscent of the colour pop shock highlighters (remember them?!) not quite a flat powder formula nor a cream, it somehow marries the two, making it a breeze to apply with either fingers or a brush.

SCULPTED BY AIMEE | Hydra Tint Tinted Serum

I love a makeup artist founded brand and you can clearly see that Sculpted By Aimee’s products have been created by an experienced makeup artist with their formulations and performance. Whilst a newer brand discovery for me, what products I have tried I’ve been very impressed by.

I’ve been reaching for this tinted serum a lot lately for a quick everyday base when I just want a hint of lightweight coverage to even out my skin tone. It has a light to buildable coverage that applies effortlessly and delivers a radiant yet satin finish.

I wore it on on of the hottest days of the year to London and back (5 hours worth of public transport including trains and the tube) and it still looked great at the end of the day with no clinging to dry areas or separating.

NUXE | Huile Solaire Or Sun Oil SPF50

I was kindly invited along on a brand trip to Nice with Nuxe in June, where I discovered that my favourite body SPF and body glow have had a baby!

This SPF50 oil is infused with golden shimmering particles, combining sun protection with radiance. I think this is a great way to achieve that golden glow in the sun without compromising on the health of your skin. What’s not to love?!

I was worried it would be too dark on my naturally fair skin, however it blends effortlessly and leaves me with a hint of bronze so don’t be put off!

NUXE | Huile Prodigieuse Or Roll-On

The iconic Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse shimmer dry oil is now available in a roll-on version! This is one of my favourite body oils (alongside its pearly pink sister Or Florale).

It gives the most beautiful shimmer to the skin without looking glittery whilst the gloss like finish never feels sticky on the skin. I love how the roll-on applicator makes it so quick and easy to apply with precision. A definite handbag essential for summer!

FENTY BEAUTY | Butta Drop Hydrating Body Milk

This Fenty Butta Drop Body Milk has been my body cream of choice as of late. I love how intensely moisturising the Fenty body creams are and this is no different.

It feels so lightweight (which is my preference during the warmer months), sinks into the skin almost immediately whilst leaving it feeling so hydrated and glowing.

Whilst I appreciate it is refillable, I do wish the pump had a lock option to make it easier to store/travel with.

HUDA BEAUTY | Lip Stain

I couldn’t write this blog post without mentioning the product of the moment, Huda Beauty’s latest lip launch! Like many of us, I consider lip liner one of my daily makeup essentials so when I learned about these long-wear, smudge proof stains I placed an order immediately!

Though the concept of a lip stain isn’t new, I do think the shade range of these are particularly great. Spanning from light to rich nudes, pinks and reds, there is something for everyone.

My advice would be to work quickly and precisely with these, applying in sections and blending as you go. If your lips are dry/cracked or you apply too much product it will appear darker and patchy. If you know your way around a lip liner and don’t want the fuss of touch ups then I think you’ll really like these!

CHARLOTTE TILBURY | Lip Cheat Duo Medium

On the topic of lip liners, Charlotte Tilbury do some of my favourite formulas of all time. I have an ‘iconic nude’ in pretty much every handbag!

Their new lip cheat duo features a creamier formula to their original, more waxy lip cheat (much more forgiving and beginner friendly than the likes of a stain as mentioned above).

I love the idea of having two shades in one to really customise your lip look. Either by using one shade to line and the other to fill, or the deeper shade to add more depth and definition to the lip boarder.

ARMANI BEAUTY | Cheek Tint Shine

As a fan of the Armani Beauty Cheek Tints and Aqua Highlighters separately, I’ve been eager to try the new Cheek Tint Shines. Spoiler they didn’t diassapoint!

I was invited along by Armani Beauty to watch the incredible Hannah Martin (celebrity makeup artist) demonstrate these beauties in a masterclass setting in Harrods recently. These new shimmery versions almost combine the pigment of the Cheek Tint with the glow from the Highlighter to deliver a pearlescent liquid blush.

If you’re someone who likes a glowy blush without the fuss off adding highlighter too, you can now achieve it in one step. They dry down to a non-sticky finish with great staying power, allowing you to either wear alone or layer with a powder blush on top.
