It’s no surprise that we love a multipurpose beauty product here. Why have a handful of products when you can have 1 that does it all?! I think my love for a multi-use product comes from my makeup artist background. Ensuring you have products that work across multiple skin tones and skin types in your kit is crucial. Even better if you can use them in various ways, anything to lighten the load when travelling and make your workflow more efficient!

I think this mentality has also carried over into my personal beauty routines and in this blog post I have curated 5 of my top multipurpose beauty products I couldn’t live without. In hope to save you both space in your makeup bags and money in your bank!

ELIZABETH ARDEN | 8 Hour Cream

A golden oldie! If in doubt… Eight Hour Cream! This is an absolute go to product of mine when my skin is in need of any help. It works to visibly calm and nourish dry, chapped and cracked skin, while soothing the appearance of roughness, redness and minor irritations.

I use this in so many ways such as; around my eyes when they’re dry or sore, on any dry patches of skin on the face or body, on my lips as a nourishing mask/balm to soften, on my cuticles to keep my manicure looking fresh, to groom my brows and even as a natural highlighter. The possibilities are endless!

KERASTASE | Elixir Ultime

I’ve lost count of how many bottles of this I have been through! As someone with naturally curly, frizz prone hair, hair serums/oils are my best friend.

Whilst on the pricier side for a hair oil it is worth every penny in my opinion and the whole experience of applying it just feels luxurious. Now available in new refillable packaging, this leave-in hair oil delivers nourishment, visible softness and shine.

As someone who uses heat on their hair almost every day I love that this also contains heat protection. I apply as both a finishing step to calm frizz and add shine, but also on dry hair before touching up with my heat styling tools for added protection.

NUXE | Huile Prodigieuse Oil

Another multipurpose oil but one I use in different ways. I prefer to use this oil on the body to nourish and leave a beautiful glow (I also love the shimmery ones for on the body!). As well as on the face if I’m using a gua sha or for extra glow. Because it’s a dry oil, the texture feels lightweight and doesn’t leave skin feeling greasy.

Though it can also be used in hair I find a little goes a long way as it has more of an oily texture to the Kerastase one which is more serum like. It also has that iconic Nuxe scent which smells delicious!

LISA ELDRIDGE | Skin & Makeup Mist

I always have a hydrating mist on hand, one that I can incorporate into both my skincare and makeup routines. I think everyone should have one in their collection as they’re great for many different reasons.

This Lisa Eldridge skin & makeup mist I’ve been loving as it is a multifunctional, ultra-fine mist infused with skin-loving ingredients. Created to be used as part of your skincare routine, to settle makeup and hydrate/refresh skin throughout the day which are my favourite ways to use it.

I love how it melts makeup together and leaves a hydrated, healthy glow to skin. An old makeup artist trick is to spritz your brush or shimmer eyeshadows with some to intensify the pigment!

RHODE | Pocket Blush (shade sleepy girl)

A fairly new launch but one I have been unable to put down in recent months! It’s a product I’ve been reaching for the most over my other cream blushers.

Whilst its technically a blusher, I wanted to include it because I tend to use it multipurpose! ‘Sleepy girl’ is the perfect ‘blonzer’ shade for my skin tone, so I often use it all over my face as a blusher and bronzer in one.

It’s also one of those cream blushers that looks great and feels comfortable worn on the lips for a blurred flush of colour.
