It’s been a while since I did a beauty favourites post! Admittedly, during the summer months I wasn’t trying too many new products and I’d been feeling a little uninspired. The beauty industry tends to slow down with new launches during the months of July/August and I personally was really leaning into the minimal, no makeup looks using products I know and love on repeat. So naturally I didn’t feel there was much to report on.

Though September marks a new season and with Autumn now here in full swing (or glam season as I like to call it) I’m feeling inspired again and can’t wait to create more autumnal looks. In this post I’ve pulled together a handful of noteworthy products that I’ve tried over the summer months. The monthly ‘Best In Beauty’ will resume next month and I’ve already got a great list of products to share with you for September!

HOURGLASS | Liquid Blusher

I love innovative products that also come in hygienic and pro kit friendly packaging! These new Unreal Liquid Blushers by Hourglass are small but pack a punch.

The soft button at the bottom when turned upside down disperses the perfect amount of product with one drop.

The highly pigmented formula feels weightless on the skin and gives an almost watercolour flushed appearance. I’d recommend for both personal and professional use!

FENTY BEAUTY | Lip Liners

Fenty Beauty finally gave us what we were asking for… LIP LINERS! I was so excited to try this launch as Fenty know how to do a lip product. I love the shades available in these from nudes with a variety of undertones to pinks and a red option.

You get creamy, high pigment in one swipe but be warned you don’t have much play time. These set QUICK! So if you are looking for a lip liner that you don’t want to worry about moving or needing reapplying quickly then you might like these!

FENTY BEAUTY | Gloss Bomb Stix

Not only did Fenty Beauty bring us lip liners but also an extension to the Gloss Bomb family! These Gloss Bomb Stix are a creamy, pigmented glossy, high-shine balm that yes… smell just like the OG gloss bomb glosses!

Available in 11 shades with familiar names such as ‘riri’, ‘fenty glow’ and ‘hot chocolit’ along with some new additions.

GUCCI BEAUTY | Rosso Ancora Lipstick

My jaw dropped when this package arrived at my door! It’s no secret I love a bold lip and so I had to try it on immediately. Safe to say that it went straight in my collection of reds!

It delivers high pigment in one swipe, velvety matte texture in a rich red. I love a story behind a product and this particular shade and packaging Sabato De Sarno created, playing homage to Guccio Gucci who was inspired by the red walls of one of the Savoy Hotels elevators!

LANCOME | Absolue Les Parfums

I was very grateful to be invited along on a Lancome brand trip to the South Of France in July. We visited the Lancome pink house (Domaine De La Rose) where we learned all about their newest fragrance launch from the perfumers themselves.

The Absolu Les Parfums collection is available now and consists of 11 fragrances each inspired by the roses grown at Domaine De La Rose. I was surprised by how unique each fragrance smelt, there’s truly something for everyone in this collection from fresh, light roses to more oud, woodier notes.

My favourite one was Oud Bouquet. I think they would make a beautiful gift or a special treat to yourself!

LANCOME | Lip Idole Butterglow

On the topic of Lancome, I haven’t been able to put this Lip Idole Butterglow down. If you follow my Instagram or TikTok you will likely have seen me feature this heavily as it’s been on rotation in my everyday makeup routine for the past couple of months. I’ve been loving shade 30!

It has a lightweight, buttery formula that melts on the lips for comfortable wear with buildable colour pay off. Containing ingredients such as ceramides and squalane that work to provide hydration and help to protect against dryness.

NUXE | Hair Prodigieux Nourishing Masque

I’m so happy that NUXE haircare has finally launched in the UK! I first tried the line when I was in Paris with the brand last year and fell in love. This hair mask in particular deserves a shoutout!

I am usually too lazy to do a hair mask as they often require you to apply on wet hair. This one however is an oil texture that can be applied to dry hair then washed out after 10 minutes.

I’ve been incorporating this into my weekly hair wash routine by applying a generous amount to my hair and styling it in a low slicked back bun. Granted I probably leave it on far too long but it feels like I’m doing something good for my hair when it is too greasy to style down! Oh it also smells INCREDIBLE (as expected from NUXE!).

If in doubt… slick back bun 👏🏼

YSL | Lines Liberated Eyeliner

Now I am very fussy when it comes to eyeliner… for me a great eyeliner has to have great pigment in one swipe, have enough play time for you to apply and smudge out as well as of course wear well. These new YSL Lines Liberated Eyeliner’s tick all the boxes for me.

They’re smudge and water resistant yet glide effortlessly with no tugging. Available in a range of both matte and shimmer shades in neutrals and colours, both equally as pigmented. I’ve been loving the shade 3 (liberated bronze) as an alternative to my usual brown or black.

To top it off, the brush on the other side is actually usable! It comes with a thin, precise angled liner brush which actually makes blending or winging it out a breeze.

ARMANI | Luminous Silk Cheek Tint

Another blush launch I hear you say? I had been watching these do the rounds on social media and was excited to try them out.

I had been looking for a replacement of my favourite Nars liquid blushers which are sadly now discontinued and I think these fill that hole. I love how the shades of these correspond to their Luminous Silk Glow Powder Blushers, giving you the option to wear alone or pair together for ultimate wear.

They are a buildable formula, meaning they blend easily for a wash of colour but you also have the ability to build them to a more high impact finish too.
