PHLUR | Heavy Cream Hair & Body Fragrance Mist

As a big Phlur ‘vanilla skin’ fan, I popped into Space NK when I was last in London to give their new ‘vanilla smoke’ hair & body fragrance mist a try. Thinking it was going to be a more smokey intense version… it was I suppose, but it wasn’t for me. I think I prefer sweeter body mists to layer with my fragrances and so I left with ‘heavy cream’ instead!

The top notes that stand out to me include marshmallow and orange whilst having base notes of vanilla mousse, salted caramel and whipped cream – making it smell as delicious as it sounds! I’ve been really enjoying topping up with it throughout the day, as well as layering it with ‘vanilla skin’ fragrance on top!

AMELIORATE | Transforming Body Lotion

I realise I don’t speak enough about those ‘everyday essential products’ here, I suppose because they aren’t all that exciting but are products I use a lot!

A new discovery of mine that I have been incorporating into my post bath/shower body care routine is this Ameliorate Transforming Body Lotion. I was starting to notice small bumps and rough patches of skin on my upper arms so I purchased this hoping it would improve the texture. I’m pleased to say I have noticed a massive difference since using it.

Granted it doesn’t smell as great or feel as luxurious as some of my other body creams, it does the job of exfoliating, resurfacing and conditioning in one step.

VICTORIA BECKHAM BEAUTY | Lip Definer Trio

As a lip liner addict, this Victoria Beckham Beauty fan favourite I have been meaning to try for the longest time! For Victorias birthday, the brand launched a trio of their Lip Definers, inspired by Victorias signature shade 02. The trio includes two new exclusive shades from Victorias personal vault of custom lip pencils in the shades 01.5 (lighter more brown toned) and 02.5 (slightly deeper pink tone).

All three shades are perfectly curated and beautifully wearable, with the shade 02.5 quickly making its way into my everyday makeup bag.

I particularly love the formula, how pigmented and creamy they are whilst being extremely long-wearing. Just everything I look for in a lip liner!

RHODE | Peptide Lip Shape

On the topic of lip liners and a totally different take on your classic pencil design are the Rhode Peptide Lip Shapes. I was kindly sent a selection of shades from the range which have been patiently waiting in storage as I wanted to film a first impressions unboxing (see below).

As we know I love innovative beauty products and Rhode is getting a name for doing just that. These are like nothing I have tried before with their chunkier applicator, which is surprisingly pigmented and gives you a fuller looking pout in one swipe.

They’re particularly great to give that contoured, effortless blurred lip that you would normally only achieve after blurring the edges with your fingers or a brush. As a lot of them lean quite pink/warm toned I’d love to see more cooler, contour shades from them.

VALENTINO BEAUTY | Lip Puffer Gloss

I’ve been secretly wearing this new Valentino Lip Puffer Gloss ahead of its launch this month and been itching for its release so I could talk to you about it!

Available in a variety of 6 beautiful shades, they deliver a high glass like shine to the lips with an instant plumping appearance with no uncomfortable feeling. The formula, infused with hyaluronic acid, ceramides and vitamin E, keep your lips feeling soft and supple without being sticky. My favourite shade is ‘103R Don’t Be So Nude’.

L’OREAL | Brow Lamination

This could be one of my favourite discoveries in a long time! I’ve been using the Benefit 24hr brow setter for YEARS and when I ran out of my last one decided I’d venture out and try something new.

I began using the Rare beauty clear brow gel, which is more of waxy formula as opposed to a gel which dries hard and whilst I like the way it made my brows look, as it began to run out it wasn’t holding well enough for my liking.

I had this L’Oreal one in my stash so thought I’d give it a go and was blown away! It’s like the Benefit and Rare Beauty ones had a child for a fraction of the price! The best bits of both of them. I love the applicator as it picks up and moulds your brows effortlessly, doesn’t stick them flat to your head and it doesn’t budge once dry! If you’re after a new clear brow gel I couldn’t recommend this more.

KOSAS | Revealer Extra Bright Serum Powered Color Corrector 

I have high standards when it comes to concealers and I absolutely love the Kosas Revealer Concealer, so I was intrigued to try their new under eye brightener/corrector in the same range.

Corrector is a step I often skip when it comes to my makeup. Mostly out of laziness but I also generally use a concealer with a pink undertone to subtly correct and brighten. My dark under eyes are one of my biggest insecurities and I forgot how much of a difference corrector actually makes on myself.

I’ve been enjoying using this when my eyes are looking particularly dark/tired, wearing both alone or layering with their revealer concealer (or concealer of choice). It is creamy and a little goes a long way, avoid using too much to reduce risk of creasing.

NUXE | Refreshing After-Sun Lotion

I made the silly British mistake of going on a dog walk in a sports bra and gym shorts on unknowingly the hottest day of the year so far with no suncream on… no surprise I paid the price with red hot shoulders later that evening.

I instantly dug out my Nuxe aftersun to rescue me and although it’s not a new discovery, I thought it was worth a mention as we come into the hotter weather!

This is my favourite aftersun as not only does it smell incredible like the rest of their sun care range, but it actually works to help soothe and take out the heat from sunburn. It also claims to prolong tan by 2 weeks but I wouldn’t know as I don’t tan naturally…

VICTORIA BECKHAM BEAUTY | Makeup Brushes

I’m a sucker for great makeup brushes. Great being the key word here. I truly think if you invest in quality brushes they will last you for years to come. I still have some from almost 10 years ago when I first started makeup. You are almost guaranteed a seamless, streak free makeup application and easy blending as they will do the hard work for you.

VIEVE | Poutder

A very exciting new launch from Vieve and unlike any lip formula I have personally tried before. This soft-matte mousse texture melts onto lips delivering a velvet like, blurred and buildable colour.

Truly a unique matte lip formula that feels weightless and doesn’t transfer. You can wear alone with blurred edges for that flushed bitten lip look or paired with a lip liner worn in the centre of the lip. My favourite of the four shades is ripple!
