If you’ve been here a while, you may have noticed that I have been sporting a hot pink lip for a while. I find it a flattering, fun alternative to a classic red. You might be over seeing pink on your feed as the Barbie press tour unfolds ahead of the release date on the 21st July – I however, am living for it!

I thought it would be fun to piece together my favourite pink makeup and beauty products for if you want to subtly take part in the trend. If you’re wondering how you can incorporate this into your own makeup routine I have pulled together some inspiration from some favourite make artists of mine below.

The Bold Lip

If you’re a bold lip lover like myself, or want to switch up your red for an alternative colour, try opting for a pink instead! Like red, they come in an array of hues so you are sure to find one to suit your skin tone/preference. Wear it bold and full like the images below, or buff out the edges for a softer, diffused look!

The Statement Shadow

If a bold lipstick isn’t your thing, or you prefer an eyeshadow moment, you can really play around here. Colour block with a hot pink shade, opt for a more sheer wash of colour on the lids, or add gradients with different tones to add depth. Don’t be afraid to play with textures too, you can add a little glitter, gloss or metallic shimmer to really catch the light and add dimension.

The Blush Draping

Blush is an easy way to switch up your makeup and bring in a flush of colour. You can wear it sheer for a natural look or really build it up and go for a blush draping depending on the placement as seen below.

The Subtle Glam

There are other more subtle ways you can incorporate the colour pink if you don’t want to veer too far from your go to look. Go for more muted pink tones that feel closer to the natural pigment in your skin tone. Or keeping it neutral in other areas so the pink doesn’t feel overbearing.
