Shock there’s another trending makeup buzz word and ‘blonzing’ is the word on every beauty enthusiasts for you page this month! Whilst I’m not usually one to jump on trends, I feel like this is one I can get on board with since I’ve basically been doing it most days in my makeup routine. If you’ve heard of the phrase ‘blonzing’ or ‘blonzer’ and are wondering what on earth it means, let me explain.
Simply put ‘blonzing’ combines blusher and bronzer in one step. By selecting a blusher shade in a warmer, bronzey tone and applied in the areas you would most commonly apply your bronzer (like the cheekbones, bridge of nose, forehead, temples, even the eyelids/socket) this technique brings warmth to the complexion whilst adding subtle definition and dimension to the face. The same could be said about choosing a bronzer shade and applying it in the places you would generally place your blusher!
Day to day when I want a quick, natural look I usually skip bronzer and opt for blush so I love this two in one, less is more approach that blonzing offers. If you were interested in trying it for yourself, the chances are you probably already have a product in your makeup bag that will give you the desired results! Have a play around with the placements of your existing blushers and bronzers. If you are looking to try it and are wondering what products I’d select from my own makeup collection for this technique, then I have curated a selection of blushers below that I believe give the best blonzer results!
