Anyone else a sucker for minis?! Space NK and Sephora know exactly what they’re doing putting all the cute mini’s of our favourites right by the checkout… I always carry a makeup/touch up bag inside my handbag but I was after something much smaller for when I don’t have the luxury of space but still want to be organised and have a place to store my necessities.
I recently picked up this mini travel bag in Space NK. They have a bunch of them in different sizes and colours available but I particularly love how tiny and sleek the design of this one is. I love the black faux pebbled leather and with it being a transparent PVC it’s easy to see what you’ve got inside and is wipe clean.
It got me thinking about what I could squeeze inside and inspired me to write this post on what would make up my perfect mini makeup bag! I have a few of the products mentioned already that I’ve already filled it with, but I plan to pick up the others so I can create the full vision – though it might be a tight squeeze!

I love this mini trio of some of VIEVE’s best sellers! Skin nova to prime skin with a beautiful glow, skin dew to highlight (or mix in with concealer to create a glowy base), as well as a mini lip dew for glassy hydrated lips.
NARS | Radiant Creamy Concealer Mini
My ride or die concealer in mini travel size, it’s a no brainer! I’m skipping foundation as you can customise coverage with this or like I say, mix in with some Vieve skin dew to create a glowy base.
BENEFIT | 24-hr Brow Setter Mini
Another absolute favourite of mine, not a day goes by where I don’t wear clear brow gel so this mini version of the benefit 24-hr brow setter is an essential for a mini makeup bag!
CHARLOTTE TILBURY | Hollywood Superstar Glow Kit
I love the beauty light wands by Charlotte Tilbury but for some reason they often get overlooked in my collection. So for blush & highlight, I already have both these travel sizes and I’m hoping by putting them in my mini makeup bag it’ll encourage me to use them more!
NARS | Mini Laguna Bronzer
It’s not a makeup bag without some bronzer and I love the classic Nars laguna bronzer! I already have this bitesized one which makes the perfect addition to a mini makeup bag. Bronzer can also be doubled up as eyeshadow so it’s a two in one in my eyes!
MAKEUP FOR EVER | Artist Colour Pencil Minis
These Makeup For Ever artist colour pencils are fantastic as they can be used on both lips and eyes. My favourite colour for lips is endless cacao but I’ve been desperate to try out more shades. I love that in this mini set you get both black, white and three neutral shades to use across both eyes and lips making them perfectly versatile for a mini makeup bag! You could also chuck in an already worn down lip liner or eyeliner!
CHARLOTTE TILBURY | Airbrush Flawless Powder Mini
I don’t leave the house without this in my bag so of course this would be front and centre in my mini makeup bag! There’s no powder quite like it, especially for touch ups in my opinion and I’ve even done a full face of makeup using this tiny mirror before!
TRIGWELL | Mini Powder Puffs
These mini powder puffs are incredible! They make the application of powder so smooth and seamless and I actually find help it wear for longer. One of these paired with the Charlotte Tilbury airbrush flawless powder is a match made in heaven!
BOBBI BROWN | Mini Cream Shadow Stick
You could skip eyeshadow if space is limited, but in an ideal world if I can squeeze everything in I’m including a cream eyeshadow stick! They’re the easiest to apply, just scribble and blend and quickly amp up a look if you wanted to take it from day to night. I’d opt for a bronze shimmer shade for evening wear as I’d probably double up my bronzer as eyeshadow for during the day.
LANCOME | Idole Mascara Mini
This mascara has been a favourite for years, I’ve been through countless tubes! It’s one of those versatile mascaras that gives you the flexibility of a natural looking, separated lash or the ability to build it up for more drama without clumping and flaking.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY | Airbrush Setting Spray Mini
To lock everything in place, my trusty Charlotte Tilbury airbrush flawless setting spray. Not only does this melt everything together and deliver a beautiful glow but it helps with longevity. Also great to quickly refresh your makeup with!
