It goes without saying I LOVE trying out new products and I am grateful to receive lots of the latest beauty launches as perks of the job. With what seems to be so many new launches, I know it can be quite overwhelming to navigate what does what or why you may prefer one cream blush over another for example.
I often share first impression unboxings of products I receive that I think you will like over on my Instagram stories or feature them in videos. But I know this doesn’t give you a thorough review, so I thought it may be useful to start a monthly round up of products that got me excited, that I feel are also worthy of your attention. RHODE | UK Launch
Glowing skin is always in.. but Hailey Bieber has brought a new meaning to glazed skin. Her skincare line Rhode finally launched in the UK this month which means us brits can too be looking like glazed donuts. As it stands, I believe it is available in the USA, Canada and UK. I have the biggest sweet-tooth and had been dying to get my hands on the peptide lip treatment in ‘salted caramel’. Let’s just say it’s worth the hype. I’m close to needing a top up already and it means a lot for me to get through an entire lip product (that’s if I haven’t lost it before getting to the end!) On the topic of bronze… Chanel have released a travel sized version of their iconic Les Beiges bronzing cream. I hear makeup artists scream in delight. Whilst beautiful to look at, the packaging isn’t the smallest or lightest to carry or store. Sadly, no wider shade range though. If you’d been wanting to try out the iconic les beiges bronzer but didn’t fancy the price tag, you can now try it out for less before committing to the full size.

Lisa Eldridge has entered the skincare chat. I am a HUGE fan of a bold colourful lip and Lisa’s lipstick shades and formulas are some of the best on the market, I have quite the collection going but we’ll save that for another day.
Having loved the other products I have tried of hers, naturally I was so happy to learn that she is expanding the brand into skincare (not to mention launching her permanent counter in Selfridges London!). The brand has launched with two products. The first being a Skin Enhancing Treatment Cleanser which is a 3 in 1 product which performs as a cleanser, face mask and facial massage treatment. The second being a Skin and Makeup Enhancing mist infused with skin-loving ingredients, created to be used as part of your skincare routine, to settle makeup quicker or refresh throughout the day. It has quickly become a favourite way for me to finish my makeup as I love a more lived in, skincare finish to my makeup and it makes my skin look like glass!

DIOR | Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara Refillable

I love to see innovation in the beauty space, and we are beginning to see more refillable options for our beauty products. Dior have reinvented their Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara (shade 090 Black) with a new natural formula and refillable packaging as part of Diors sustainable beauty initiative. It is the first refillable mascara on the luxury market, and I think it’s a great step forward. I’m intrigued to see which brands follow suit.
The mascara itself defines and fans out lashes whilst adding volume and curl. You can see it in action on my TikTok below.

NARS | Laguna Summer 2023 Collection
Nars are bringing us the summer heat with their 2023 summer laguna collection. I recently attended a lunch to celebrate the launch and learn about the new collection. It consists of their iconic Laguna bronzer, now in a talc-free formula and available in 9 shades, renamed ‘Laguna 00 – Laguna 09’ to make it even easier to find your shade. As well as travel friendly mini versions, their cream laguna bronzer formula and two quad eyeshadow palettes.
I was happiest to learn that they’re also bringing back their limited edition ‘Laguna’ afterglow lip balm as a permanent product! I love their tinted lip balms and it’s a gorgeous shade to complete a monochromatic bronzey ‘no makeup-makeup’ look.

It’s no secret that I love a one and done eyeshadow look. Eyeshadow sticks are one of the most effective ways to achieve an instant eye look in seconds and require minimal effort. Hourglass have launched their new Voyeur eyeshadow sticks in an array of shimmering neutrals and jewel tones (an easy way to incorporate some subtle colour into your eye wardrobe!). They are a buildable yet pigmented formula that glide on smoothly and fuss free, so you don’t have to worry about applying too much and not being able to blend out. Once set they really are budge proof!

I don’t consider myself a hoarder, but lipsticks are the makeup item I own the most of and find hard to let go. I just love how a lipstick finishes off a look or holds its own.
Estee Lauder’s Pure Colour lipsticks landed on my desk this month encased in a gold ribbed case (worthy of being displayed) which unveiled 25 lipstick shades varying from neutral nude shades to bold reds and deep purples. They are rich in pigment and are long-wearing. Available in 80 shades across matte, crème and lustre finishes designed to flatter all skin tones there is a shade for every mood.

Armani beauty have a new addition to the renowned luminous silk line. Introducing the luminous silk Glow Blusher, a silk inspired powder blusher that softly drapes skin with a luminous flush of colour. They’re finely milled for a texture that is blendable and buildable.
Perfect for those of you who don’t like to use a cream blusher but equally don’t want a chalky looking powdery finish, as they feature light reflecting pigments that evenly bounce light off the face to give a soft-focus appearance.
