After a stint of feeling rather uninspired lately as I touched on in last months post, I feel I’ve finally got my spark back and I’m thoroughly enjoying experimenting and creating again! It could be something to do with my health behaving, or my beauty room being finally at the completion stage that’s sparked inspiration – more on that soon I promise! In the meantime, here’s what’s been getting a lot of attention from me during the month of July that I think you will also love!

Prada knows how to launch a viral beauty product and their latest banana balm is joining that list.
It may look yellow but it applies thee most beautiful subtle golden shimmer, you can wear it alone or to elevate any makeup look. I also love to add a touch to the high points of my face for that warm luster glow.
It smells sweet, feels buttery and with jojoba oil and 24-hr lip hydration it’s comfortable and seriously addictive – I can’t stop reapplying!
I’m so into cheek and lip stains at the moment, I’ve been prioritising colour over coverage lately so I think they’re the perfect option during summer when you don’t want much on the skin but still want to look vibrant.
I love innovative beauty products and this latest launch by Victoria Beckham Beauty is exactly that. I have never come across a liquid blush/stain in a pipette style like this. The metal applicator feels almost cooling upon application, you can apply either directly to the skin or drop onto a palette (great for hygiene in an artists kit!).
As for the formula, a little goes a long way! One pipette drop is plenty enough as although it’s a watery consistency, it does not compromise on pigment. It allows for blending time so you can achieve a customisable finish before drying to a tint that lasts all day. Currently available in 3 universal shades – my personal favourite being flushed.
I recently did a big declutter of my complexion base products, to rid of any expired and in hope that I would reach for more of my collection instead of grabbing whats convenient at the time.
I’m pleased to say I rediscovered my Lisa Eldridge Seamless Enhancing Skin Tint and have been loving using it, so whilst not entirely new to me I thought it was worth a mention considering how much use it’s got this month!
First of all I love the shade, I wear T3 and as I’m naturally fair skinned it can often be hard to find complexion products that don’t pull too warm on me. This is a perfect neutral and I love the way it blends seamlessly and evens out my skintone.
It offers a light coverage with a hit of hydration (thanks to its skincare infused formula) but never looks greasy. If you are looking for something lightweight this summer I’d rank this in my top 3 skin tints!
I’m a big fan of the NARS laguna line so I was thrilled to learn they’ve launched the shade Laguna in their Afterglow Lip Oil as part of their limited edition summer collection.
The formula is lip oil/gloss hybrid that is both nourishing and super high shine without the stickiness. The bronze shimmer adds to the glass like finish and is the perfect finishing touch to any bronze makeup look this summer!
Another bronze lip for the summer rotation is this Refy gloss recently launched in the limited-edition shade Topaz, after their iconic Topaz gloss highlighter.
A thicker consistency to the above and in a squeezy applicator – of which the metal tip is lovely and cooling. I find it to be a long lasting formula that requires less frequent application and leaves a beautiful, high-shine golden shimmer glow to the lips. I need to try it paired with the topaz highlighter for a high summer look!
I’m yet to try a Rhode skincare product that I don’t like. The glazing milk is a key item in my skincare lineup so I was very excited to try the new Glazing Mist.
It’s a fine mist that hydrates and refreshes leaving a next-level glowy finish. I love a multi-use skincare product and I like using it as a pre makeup prep step, throughout the day to refresh or as part of my evening skincare routine.
The formula also has added purifying benefits, helping skin feel more balanced and clarified over time with continued use.
Though not a new launch, I have recently gone back to using the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Water Cream as my moisturiser of choice.
I find that I prefer something lighter during the summer months and by using only a little, this gives my skin the boost of hydration it requires without feeling heavy on my skin. Not to mention the incredible glass like glow it leaves – like your skin has had a big drink of water. In true Tilbury style, it also sits beautifully under makeup.
