I don’t know about anyone else but as the seasons change not only do I like to switch around my wardrobe but also the products that live in my everyday makeup bag. Maybe that’s just the makeup artist in me but I always look forward to bringing out the more berry, deeper tones come autumn/winter!
Since we’re welcoming a new season in our wardrobes, we’re seeing a lot of red and brown having a moment in the shops and on our social feeds this year and I’m loving it! When it comes to creating makeup looks that are impactful, I’m massively inspired by colour and combining complimentary or contrasting shades in different tones.
Red and brown are two colours known to be universally flattering and I think the majority of us beauty lovers own a brown eyeliner and a red lip in our collection, right? Whilst a brown smokey eye or red lip may seem like the obvious choice, there are more ways to wear the two colours that can quickly switch up your look.
Whilst often intimidating at first glance, a red blush (or even doubling up your red lipstick) can be super flattering sheered out on fair skin tones or built up on deeper skin tones. Or opt for a brown mascara for a softer lash instead of your classic black.
