Ever wondered what a Makeup Artists holiday beauty essentials are? Well, I’m here to share because unfortunately packing my entire beauty stash doesn’t fly under Ryan Air’s baggage allowance…

I like to try and travel light (try being the key word) by packing multi-use products to save space and weight in my luggage where I can. There are some items I consider my travel essentials and I found myself repeatedly reaching for these 5 highlighted below whilst on my recent trip away that I wanted to share!

1. Rhode Glazing Milk

This has become a key product in my skincare routine over the past year – I haven’t come across anything quite like it before. It’s a milky essence which delivers immediate hydration and boosts skin barrier over time.

I love to use this as the first step in my skincare routine but if my skin is on the sensitive side, I’m being lazy or just don’t want much on my skin then I will use it alone.

I found myself reaching for it a lot on holiday as it instantly brings a glow to my face and relieves that tightness you can often feel after a day in the sun. It’s also an amazing product to travel with as you can mix it in with your foundation to create a dewy skin tint or with your highlighter to create a lightweight body glow!

2. Benefit Benetint (Raspberry)

I’m loving tints lately so I picked the new raspberry shade of benetint up in the airport. I found myself using it both day and night for across my cheeks, nose and lips to give myself that almost sunburnt look without the sun.

I love the ease of a stain especially on holiday as it instantly brings colour and life to your face even if you’re technically going makeup free. Plus you can trust it to stay put and not worry about needing to touch up.

3. Spray Bottle

Not technically a beauty product as such – but I can’t travel to a warm climate where I plan to wear my natural curls and not pack this! It’s a spray bottle that I fill with water and use to quickly refresh my curls if they’re starting to look a little frizzy/in between washes.

It’s also great to chuck in your beach/pool bag to double up as a refreshing cooling mist for when you get too hot!

4. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Or Florale

We all need a trusty summer body glow and Nuxe do some of my absolute favourites. I’ve mentioned that I’ve been cutting down on the amount I’m fake tanning and trying to embrace my naturally fair skin – so a product like this works wonders for my confidence to give me an instant glow!

The rose gold shimmer I find so flattering on fair skin however if you have a deeper skin tone, the original Shimmering Huile Prodigieuse is equally as gorgeous and another favourite of mine!

It’s also multi-purpose for use on face and hair as well as body – I love using a touch on the high points of the face to highlight or through the ends of my hair that catch the light beautifully!

5. Kerastase Elixir

Surprise surprise look who made it! It’s rare of me to go anywhere without this in my bag. As someone with naturally frizz prone hair, I heavily rely on a good hair serum and I especially love this one for how lightweight it is.

Often this will be the only hair product I travel with if I have a blowdry as it contains heat protection so I use it both before and after heat styling as a 2-in-1! Not to mention also using it to smooth over the frizz of my natural curls without weighing them down or creating product build up.
